I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but it's too hard!
It's almost impossible to tune into the rhythm of the shots thanks to the music, because the moment of impact sometimes becomes too quiet or disappears completely and because of this my brain reconnects to an unimportant part of the music, which breaks my caught rhythm and needs to be caught again, but how do you do this when the music interferes, you miss enemies, take damage and because of all this you panic?
I honestly tried, but I can't play this. If there was some kind of safe zone to press, and not just one specific moment, then it would be possible to somehow adjust without having to start from the beginning every time you lose control. But unfortunately there is no such thing and the game is too difficult for me to pass more than one level.
P.S.
Sorry for the outburst of emotions.
Anyway, as soon as I cooled down I tried again, but turned off the music completely. It helped, and I was able to pass the second level quite easily... Hurray? Of course, I can't say that I'm happy about it because the music turned out great, but really not for a rhythm game.
P.P.S.
It seems that the fourth level is a real HELL. All these extraneous sounds of enemy shots are confusing. They drown out the sound of your own shots, it's just terrifying. Ideally, in a rhythm game everything should obey the rhythm of the music, but here it seems that this is not the case and the enemies shoot in some kind of rhythm of their own, which really breaks the game.
Well. I removed the sound of shots. It would seem that this should make the game easier, since now you can't hear the rhythm of the enemies, but as a result, it has become impossible to catch your own rhythm and if it is caught visually, then it immediately disappears as soon as I see the enemy shots.
I tried playing with a sword, but it is even worse, and it is simply impossible to catch the rhythm even for a couple of seconds.
I don't know how to comment on this. I deleted the game.
This game is very cute, the story is interesting, the gameplay is not bad, and the music in it is wonderful, but! As a rhythm game it is broken and for me personally, if you don't spend a few hours on it to start catching the rhythm at the reflex level, then it is impossible to complete it. But, unfortunately, there is no pleasure in it.
P.P.P.S.
To be completely honest, I also tried the browser version after a while, but all the same problems are present here. Oddly enough, I found the "OFSET CFG" button in the first level selection (I am very attentive in this regard, yes.) and adjusted... something. I'm not sure what it affects, but it definitely became more comfortable when I tweaked it. The only problem is that it was useless. If in the test mode the beats were clearly audible, which gave really good help, then in the game itself the beats were sometimes completely indistinguishable, which breaks the control and rhythm. In general, as I already said, everything is the same as in the downloadable version.
P.P.P.P.S.
In order to be really, really, really honest, at least for myself and because I'm not used to giving up halfway through and especially not using cheats, I downloaded the android version. And honestly, it surprised me. There I finally heard beats in music! But due to the fact that the controls on Android really suck, I was afraid that I would end up breaking the phone against the wall and deleted the game out of harm’s way. But here's the thing. I wondered why I heard beats on android, but not on PC and in the browser? What was the difference? And so I switched the headphone mode to stereo. And yes, it helped! Keeping the rhythm became so easy that I was just in shock. Of course, now I'll have to relearn everything again, since I was already tuned in when I played with surround sound, but at least now I can play it!
AND I WILL DESTROY THIS GAME! I'LL ROAST HER!! NO GAME WILL DARE CHALLENGE ME!!!
P.P.P.P.P.S. LoL
Since I've already written so much here, I'll express a little more of my unsolicited opinion.
In the fourth mission, even in stereo mode, there are indeed problems with disappearing beats, which disorientates for a while, but in general, if we consider the stereo mode specifically, then this is not critical and the level is completed quite easily, especially if you reduce the sounds of gunshots by half.
In the fifth level, the music was calmer and despite the fact that the rhythm was also well captured, due to the relative calm, it was quite easy to lose concentration on the beats, but, however, I completed this level on the first try. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But there is also a problem. I was distracted from the game and switched back to surround sound, so this was a completion of the fifth level not in stereo.
And in stereo it was strange. It seemed to be just as easy to complete this level, but the number of rhythm breakdowns and stutters was much greater than with surround sound. I can't even say exactly why.
But the situation in level 6 is quite interesting!
I couldn't complete it in stereo mode!
Of course, I only tried 7 times, but I think, for me personally, this is enough to get some idea about it. In general, the situation with it has become almost the same as the situation with the first levels for surround sound, but I think if you practice a little, you can pass it.
In the surround version, it was incomparably easier to maintain the rhythm, of course, not without problems, but this is more due to the attempt to dodge shots and shoot at enemies. Completed on the first try. A medal, of course.
And finally, level 7! I'm not a fan of Bullet Hell, so it was difficult for me to complete the boss in any case, but the patterns of his attacks are quite readable and I was able to complete him after four attempts. The music of this level also has a problem with disappearing beats at the end, when the real hell begins. They don't seem to disappear completely, but even so they are covered by the sounds of gunfire and damage. In fact, here I appreciated the fact that the sound of low health helps restore concentration, replacing the fading beats with its own sound. This was on surround sound.
On stereo, oddly enough, everything was quite comfortable, of course, it was a little worse in terms of the sound of beats, but nothing bad.
In general, perhaps it was unnoticeable because I wrote a whole mountain of text, but I really liked the game! The scenes between battles are really hot and pleasant, and the music is extremely exciting and addictive, perhaps it was because of it that I decided to bother so much with finding a solution to my problem. This might now be one of my favorite little games I've played, but will sit somewhere in my bookmarks until I remember it in a few years.)
I don't think it would be a wise use of time to fix the music or otherwise dig into the game to fix it, but it would be great if you could at least make a note in the description of the game that if the player is having trouble getting into the rhythm or can't hear the beats, they should try changing the stereo to surround mode and vice versa if they have the option.
Super, you did this soundtrack without much music knowledge/exp? Props to you. Somehow I'm compelled to say this, I'm interested in video games and music and I'd enjoy collaborating to create something awesome. The track to level one is injected with unique flavor and it's dancey -- I want to see what other space it can cover, musically speaking. Hmu, we could share
Very good game! Even though it's short it manages to develop the characters and their relationship. It manages to be both sexy and incredibly wholesome.
The soundtrack is amazing and very catchy. Definitely recommended using headphones for better experience.
Also related to headphones, the voice acting is incredibly good, giving a lot of depth to the characters. Miller being caring and supportive, with a nice side of sassiness to boot. And Clover is just plain adorable. (Learning in the credits the developer himself voiced him was a nice surprise)
This is where boys go to space to become man. Gay man. Gay hot sex in space with banger music and a bullet hell. What else do you need? Eh maybe for once Clover could have been the dominant one for once instead of being a heavy bottom but its still good. Oh yeah btw the reason Deadbeat hates music is becuase he was a researcher and becuase there was loud music everywhere he just could not focus. yeah thats it thats the reason lol. and Miller makes fun of him by saying: He should listen some lofi music
It's the first time i post a comment on a game but this game is so good. I don't think this game is hard but i love the draw style and the gameplay. I love also all of the cuties femboy on this game. If it was SFW, i will play it anyway. I want the next and make this game more popular. Game so underated. (i will try my posible to make peoples play this banger.)
The only bad thing: It have not so much texts. I mean, i want more huge scénario and more discution (even if it's not important for story)
i have never been this angry in my life b4, its 3:40 in the morning and have been stuck on lvl 7 THIS ENTIRE TIME. i didnt know i had to tryhard and be serious like this, this is worse than getting my cargo griefed in GTA5 (in my opinion)
